Played with this paddle and got diabetes because of the ginormous sweet spot. Short break in period of a few games but the power to feel ratio is phenomenal with its pocketing and responsiveness. Recommend this paddle for 2.5 beginners to 4.0+ advanced players.

Great paddle but surface wear extremely fast. Plenty of power and pop while maintaining control. Only complaint is the grit wears extremely fast. Two months in and it’s as smooth as silk. Had to retire it 🥲

I actually bought the Draco twice. It felt less poppy and powerful than my Vapor Power 2 and aireo cyclone, which was a good thing. It was the paddle I'd fall back on if I was struggling to control the other two or slow the game down. I'd main it now except due to the versions of more durable grit available I sold it before noticable wear showed. When/if Gherkin develops a longer lasting surface it will absolutely be in the rotation with my VP2 and now CBE J2CR (which replaced cyclone). Loved this paddle. Stable, balanced, very controllable and plenty of pop and power just not the absolute most.

The Gherkin Draco is a solid paddle with good power, stability, and overall performance for the price. It feels great on drives and serves, but the touch game can be a little inconsistent compared to some higher-end paddles. Spin is good, though not exceptional. Nice sweet spot. Overall, a quality paddle that offers good value, but it didn’t quite stand out enough to become my main.

Big fan so far. Really like the feel of the paddle. Not as much power as other paddles, but makes up for it with good feel

Excellent paddle at a fair price! It has good power and pop. Sweet spot is pretty decent. Personally, I’d like a little more low speed pop, but overall it’s a great paddle

Great paddle, especially at this price. The update face surface is a welcome addition. Very light and fast in the hands, and to me personally does not require additional weight for stability or power.

I've had my draco hybrid for about 3 months now and I love how it feels, however, I wish there was a little more grit to the surface. This was my primary for a long time and it's now my backup. If these could have a little more grit to the face, I would definitely purchase again.

I am fairly new to pickleball but used to play a lot of tennis so what I really like about the Draco is that I can hit with a lot of top spin or with slice. This has been great for my serve or when am coming to the kitchen.
I also like the feel of the paddle for dinks and drops. Overall, I believe this is a really good paddle and plan on using it for a long time.

I’ve been a fan of Gherkin paddles for a couple of years and have bought through their product line as they have made changes and improvements. Currently using the Draco which meets and exceeds all of my needs. It generates great responsive power, and absorbs hard hit balls at the net with control for placement. Great touch and feel for fast exchanges at net, and great feel for soft shots during dinking wars. The game is about control. The Gherkin Draco delivers solid control.

I have a lot of newer paddles. Most of them are not even 2 months old. I played with the Draco Hybrid for about a week. At first I was indifferent about how the paddle played. It was good but nothing impressive. A friend wanted to check it out. I let her play with it. She had it for about 3 weeks. I finally got it back. I added an overgrip and 6 grams of weight on each side. This changed the paddle dramatically. It is a POWER paddle! Generous sweetspot with decent pop at 8.4 oz. Great for an aggressive play style and fast in the hand at the kitchen. The Draco Hybrid is now my main!

Great paddle! Unique hybrid shape makes for great balance and stability while keeping swing weight reasonable. Not lacking in power compared to today’s popular paddle offerings (counters and overheads are not coming back) and after a few drill sessions and a little weight, the soft shots are right there.

Only thing I would want is for more grit on the face out of the box that was also durable. Hopefully it’s in the works!

I LOVE MY DRACO

Im always a bit skeptical because reviewers have different play styles, different levels and so many other variables… but… the paddle is really good. I play with the loco elongated and have it weighted, but this is the first paddle I felt better with the stock weight.

Fantastic pop and power. Still has plenty of dwell time and control as well. Love it so far.

There's a lot to like about the gherkin it hits hard and got a lot of Pop I just wish it had a better surface than carbon face which wears down after about 3 months

Great paddle, good mid tier power paddle w amazing pop and control. My only complaint is the stock grip is a bit thick and the surface grit is extremely average
